Breackpoint problem

Post by MUDJ »

Hi!
I have a big problem with breakpoints and I don't understand why! I have a smartphone with 1440x3168 pixels. In the project I have the following breakpoints: 1280, 1024, 980, 800, 768, 480 and 320px. To view the page of my site correctly, I must necessarily resize all the pages and then create breakpoints at 320px .. Why this?
If I create a breakpoint of 1440px, only some elements of the page remain larger. That would be the least serious by adopting an alternative type of level (mobile). The problem lies in the 15 tab multipage carousel contact form. The content of each tab is exaggeratedly small and I can't resize it properly as I can't go down with the layout grid, so they stay under another layout grid used for buttons (to go forward or back or send) and it goes up to to the footer grid (already large in itself) and therefore I cannot select them. Normally, for other contents, usually text, they seem frozen and by simply double clicking, the grid seems to reset itself, while for fields it is not the same thing. Everything is squeezed and I have to click at random to be able to select the field to enlarge, but by enlarging the field, it further lowers the layout grid together with the other fields which subsequently cannot be resized because they come under the footer layout grid. It is a huge, difficult job and I don't understand how to do it to be able to solve it. I cannot post the project because there is sensitive data. I can clone a page if you haven't already figured out where the problem is. But the whole thing, in the PC I see it perfectly but by shrinking the window, you can see the differences in size, position, etc. and they are really horrendous to see. I hope I can be helped in solving the problem. The page with default breakpoint (1366px) and only 800px is: https://mdivisiongroup.com/pagina32.php. Same page with all breakpoints is "/contacts.php" This is the screenshot of the problem in project: https://mdivisiongroup.com/screen.png. IIf this is the problem at 800px, imagine at 320px where I find the fields.
Thanks for help!

Your phone screen size isn't the same as the resolution,

Run this https://whatismyviewport.com/ on your phone and it will tell you.

Yes.. ok.. but in theory it is not possible that the fields and buttons are so different and not selectable.. but you have see the image of project? Not is a bug? Surely not is normal this.. there is some problem with not being able to change the size because it is not possible to select every field.. I am wrong? The objects contained in a layout grid up, is down other layout grid and not selectable...

To be honest, it is hard to say what the problem is without actually seeing a demo project. Is there any way of creating a demo with just the carousel and nothing else on the page and sharing it?

I loaded your web site in Firefox and then went into tools -> Browser tools -> Responsive Design mode.

Looking at a phone viewport, it is obvious that you have set some fields wider than the smaller breakpoint. So, you need to go in and recheck that. See my picture here

Alternatively, give us a demo project (wbs file) that illustrates the issue

The menu is a block downloaded from a file zip, or from pack of blocks, from a WWB website. It's possible, but i've to create tomorrow evening, if not find a solution because my site is very complex.. my form multipage created in 3/4 days contain 6 types of contact with upload file ect.. Not have inserted File Uploader extension because i've to resize all field for any brakpoint is very very to afraid.. :-) whoever has to send me the data must not forget any type of required file, so I have to insert a file for each field and make it mandatory. Even here, for this thing, it is not very easy, because if you go further in the tabs, in the end if you click on "Send", it does not send if there are missing fields, but both with boostrap and html5 as warnings, are not visible on the last page of the form. Also for this I have to find a solution. But until now, my site contained 7 separate forms and it was right to find a solution because 7 forms are not good, as each form corresponds to a type of my work but bringing them together in a single form is very complex, also because they should correspond different emails. However, we agree that if I do not find the solution, tomorrow evening (8-9 pm Italian time), I place a clean page containing only the form, without sensitive data .. only the text and graphics only, in order to understand the problem breakpoints. Now check from browser tools. In the meantime, thanks for the help!
