Version 17.1.3

Post by colsmith999 »

Hi Pablo,

there is a bug in the latest version of the program.

It occurs when publishing a page. When a user clicks on the publish button the upload begins then appears to freeze and the screen content changes too. Eventually the page does upload ok and the screen returns to normal.

I have added a screen capture here - http://www.maltonbowlsclub.org/images/v ... %20bug.jpg

There are no changes to the way publishing works compared to previous versions.
But based on the publish log it looks like you have changed the log level. Make sure it is set to 'all', if you want to see each step of the process.

I have changed the setting to publish all files of the selected page but i still have the screen change and a static progress bar.

Its not really an issue providing the page uploads, it just seems odd to have this issue

Bizarrely I have just discovered that this does not happen to all pages i upload

I do not think this behavior has changed compared to previous versions.

I think Pablo was referring to the Log Level set in Publish Web Site > Edit > Log Level.

I still have no idea what is meant by "the Log Level set in Publish Web Site > Edit > Log Level."

all i know is the screen background colour changes to black and the publish page appears to hang
and then it all returns to normal and the successfully published message is showing.

And another thing that is occurribg is when i save the project the "not responding" message appears on the top ribbon for a few seconds before saving the project.

This is most likely because a large file is being uploaded, so the software is very busy transferring the data.
If you set the log level to 'all' then you can see which files are being uploaded.
