Post by andyp »

Hi Pablo

I have an issue with installing the latest 17.2build with the this error message.

Never had this before... any work around?

Thanks
Andy

Did you re-install the software as suggested?

Also for updates, you should not really install the latest version all the time and simply unzip the update in the folder you have WWB installed. Saves any possible errors (such as the one you have) and it is very quick imho...

Hi - You made the same error I did. Don't use the links on the bottom of the page(2) for 32 bit and 64 bit as those links are files only and don't include the installer. use the single link to the download page at the top(1) then click on the 32 bit or 64 bit link you need.

I agree.
I have run the setup option (from https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/download.html) for every update since version 6 (2009) as I think this is by far the easiest and safest way to install an update, and less prone to error.

I disagree... It depends on how you operate. I only install once and update all the time and never had issues. So mine is equally the safest option and I do not overwrite files that I don't have too.

Each to their own.

Well.. stupid me!

I used the wrong download link!
