Error message???

I have made small changes to my index page which I have done a thousand times, but today for some unknown reason I get this warning:-
One or more invalid filenames were detected (see the publish log) etc etc with an option to publish anyway?
Can you explain what this means? And how do I view the 'published log' and would I understand it anyway?

This indicates that one of the file names is not web safe.

The log will be displayed while you are publishing.
