I have just updated to the newest version of the Webuilder and noticed that the tree view does not show in preview but display fine in the published version. Is there a reason for this or is it a bug that has popped up?

Which 'tree view' are you referring to?
Can you please be more specific?

Re: Tree display fine in published version not in review version
The Site Tree option under the Navigation Tools is what I am talking about. When on line, no problems are experienced with it however, when in Preview mode, it fails to show the full list of pages and even alters text size on some pages. As I don't make it public it does not cause me any problem, but it is just a tad annoying when I can't check the list of menu names, I have to publish it first then make any corrections.
Does that make it any clearer? Another website with the Tree View in it appears fine only when I use the updated version, is there a viewing problem.

Since you are saying your issue is only in local "Preview" then it would be best to share a demo project not a url to do so see the following:

How to fix text size issues (DPI)?
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum ... php?t=8591
One or two possible reasons you can't "Preview" locally is
1)you have set the page extension to .php if so it won't display due to you cannot use php locally and requires to be published first to see the contents of the page.
2)your AV (anti virus program) or Firewall is blocking the files to run locally hence why it not displaying.
Another reason is have you inserted any external scripts such as javascript or jquery as they may be conflicting the scripts used in the software.
I also note you had a similar issue at the following see all help and answers.

Re: Tree display fine in published version not in review version
There is no difference between preview and published pages. In both cases, the exact same files will be generated.
Maybe there is a cache problem with your browser?
Or maybe you have added custom code to the page which only works when the page is online? (like Google or Facebook scripts).

Re: Tree display fine in published version not in review version
Thank you once more for the suggestions and, as is usually the problem, it is once more an oversight on my part. The menu on some of the pages have not been completed and that has been the main problem, once I checked the pages, I had completed the title but forgot some of the menu names.
Once again, apologies for the disturbance and perhaps next time I will walk away from it and look again later, it is surprising how much you miss when you stick at it for too long.
