CMS or Editable content?

Post by Bluesman »

Hi cms experts :) First time I shall build a site with cms function. I have built cms sites with other softwares that has this inbuilt in their structure... but now I want to make my next project as a total in WWB. I can see I have two options CMS tool or Editable content... correct?
I want to use the full design ability what comes to fonts and pictures. And of cause use some extentions.
The organization I am building for has different peoople that shall control their own section/page in the project, so I must create different login for each of them.

So if I can get an advice for which method that is to prefer and if their are limitations for my demands? Maybe is better to use a 3rd part tool?
Would be very kind to get the push in right direction and maybe even some advices what different tools to use.
Thanks a lot

You can read more about the available options here:
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/cms_tools.html
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/editable_content.html
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/cushycms.html
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/surrealcms.html

I think it' best if you try the options yourself so you can see what works for you.

Hi Pablo... tnx for rapid answer as always :D I installed the cms from demo templates yesterday. Works well and I use the "Summernote" editor. I can see the limitations and maybe I can adapt the objects that the authors/users can edit. One thing though ... My customer wanted that the different "authors" only can edit their section/page that they are responsible for. In the CMS you can set up different users, but the same password and they all have access to all the cms areas. Is there a way that I can't find any info about?
I have not tested the Editable content yet, but as I can see when reading the documentation you maybe can install a new admin for each page to solve this...? Correct?

In the 3rd party cms you linked to, you can manage this, but I would like to first try with wwb:s tool :D

It is possible to assign each page to a different user.
