A form is an absolute/fixed container so it cannot be part of a flex container.
However, the flex container itself can be configured as form.

Thanks

Went into flex container properties and form tab
enabled checkmark for form
went into settings and put settings identical to form settings

Does not attach to the flex container ... container highlights like it should, just does not grab the form.

It will not attach or grab! The flex container is the form itself once you have checked/enabled it then you simply use as you normally use as a form.
