***SOLVED***Font Height Issue

Post by Colditz »

Hi there,

I have imported a project from an older version 10 to version 17 and have a real big problem with the fonts. I'm using the Google web font "Carrois Gothic" which worked fine with version 10 for almost 8 years now.

But in version 17 - same font file - it seems it adds more height to each text box, which renders some elements unusable. They are overlapping other elements. The site works mostly fine though - https://www.schultes-metallverarbeitung.de/

You can see the difference on the main page. If I use any other font like "Arial", the added space or height goes away.

Anyone have an idea? :?:

This is most likely related to the DPI configuration:

What version of Windows are you using? After setting the DPI in the software did you do a restart?

Not exactly Pablo  The option "Enable Direct2D rich text rendering" was the issue here. It was enabled by default, I disabled it.

I closed WYSIWYG, restarted it. Now all text boxes have the same size as before with the old version 10. Thanks for the hint. 8)

By the way, I have Windows 11 22H2, AMD Ryzen 5800X3D and Geforce RTX 4080 Founders Edition as my new System. So everything is up to date.

Really weird problem. Thanks for your support! 8)

Thanks also fom me. I spent all day trying to resolve a Googlefont problem until I saw this.
I didn't know about the DPI setting.
