Change Master Frame

Post by TomB »

I've built a new/different Master Frame for one of the sites. I would like to update all the pages to use the new Master Frame but would rather not do it on each individual page (lots of pages). My thinking was the Multi-Page Properties tool would allow me to replace the old Master Frame with the new one. However, that tool, under the Master Frame section only allows for assigning true, false or master page. It doesn't appear to allow you to select a different Master Frame. The Global Replace tool doesn't provide that function either. Perhaps I'm overlooking something.

Maybe you can just give the new masterpage the same name as the old... and of cause erase or change name on the old...?

After you have set the master frame to 'true', you can select the name of the master frame.

Thank you Pablo. I new i was missing something. Bluesman, that was something I had tried. However, when you change the name of the old master frame page it automaticlly updates all the pages to the new name of the old master frame. The solution was there in the Multi-Page properties tool all along.
