Out of date jQuery

Post by Trugmaker »

While looking at page errors, I discovered this warning - (Page),Out-of-date jQuery version,The selected jQuery version is out-of-date. Please consider using jQuery 3.x for improved performance and security.
Can you explain how to correct this?

To correct this, select a newer jQuery version.

To ensure you have the latest jquery (jQuery version: 3.7.1) you should install the following version of the software.
WYSIWYG Web Builder 18.3.3 update Then go to page properties > Advanced > jquery Version then select the version. To take affect you will need to republish all pages using it.

Just to clarify please. When we update the version of software does that automatically update the setting in project properties and subsequently the associated pages. I have well over 100 pages on my project. Am I expected to troll though each one every time an update happens? I guess this applies to PHP version as well.

If you have selected the jQuery 3 then an update will automatically use the latest version.

My project properties has jquery 3 and latest PHP selected but if I look at some of my older page's properties I find 1 or 2 with jquery 1.2.4 selected. Will that matter?

Version 1.2.4 is very old. I recommend to use the latest version.

As Pablos reply you should update jquery 1.2.4 which is now 7 years old to the latest available in the software for the pages it is not on and republish them.

So to answer my query, the project property does not supplant the page property?

If you want to update the jQuery version for multiple pages then you can do this in "multi-page properties".
