Google fonts: hosting locally

Post by Aris »

Hi.

Let me ask two questions about Hosting Google Fonts locally.

1. I host Google Fonts locally. I need to launch Google Fonts Manager?

2. Since I host Google Fonts locally, I need to click the checkbox in Options > Fonts > Google Fonts > "Check for missing Google fonts when loading a project"?

Thank you.

1. Yes, because the software needs to know about the fonts and generate the correct output code.
2. This option automatically installs missing Google fonts. It does not affect the HTML output.

Thank you, Pablo.

The reason for my question is the following: While on Windows the Open Sans font (with all its variations) looks great, on the Mac, iPad, and iPhone, only Times New Roman is visible.

That is why you will need to use the Google Fonts manager, otherwise WWB does not know what code to generate.
