Save Image As

Post by cmsintent »

Hi Pablo ... not sure if this is by design or a bug ... either way not a big deal but thought you might like to know.

In WWB18 .. when I wanted to save an image I would right mouse > save IMAGE AS > and sometimes I would rename the image I am saving ... usually without the file extention in the FILE NAME field ... and it would save in the format I choose in the SAVE AS TYPE dropdown.

But with WWB19 I must type the file extention in the FILE NAME field or the image saved is not complete.

I am using Window 11 (current) and WWB19 v19.0.1 (Nov 29 2023)

Here is an example of what I see ...

It should behave the same way. But I will investigate if the (third party) UI framework has changed this.

Hi Guys,
If I could jump in on this one, slightly related, the "save As", "Save", "Open", "Insert" type screen (dialogue screens, I'm told) always land on a bare minimum Explorer type screen and I never know where it has landed without looking at the "properties" in the context menu. I had been blaming Microsoft for this after all the mucking around they have done with Explorer but they inform me that these are Dialogue screens where third parties have control what is shown in them.
I would dearly love to see an Address / Location bar at the top like the normal Explorer screen so I know where I've landed and from there I can plan my actions. Could that be done please.?

Did you read the release notes about this?
If you prefer standard Windows dialog style then uncheck ‘Enable skinned dialogs’.
There is also a registry option for advanced users to enable standard system dialogs, without affecting the other application dialogs:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 19\Settings\UseSystemDialogs -> DWORD -> 1

Thanks Pablo. I will follow this up. Now if I can get Thunderbird to do the same I'll be on a winning streak.

Found that setting and unchecked it, re-booted, does not appear to have changed anything.

In that case you already have the default Windows dialog.
