One Page or Multipage Design
Hi folks just a general question. I was think of using a one page design rather than multipage. I was thinking it might be easier to keep responsive and make quicker it run quicker. Just a thought.
Re: One Page or Multipage Design
I would have thought it must take longer to load everything onto one page rather than splitting it over several pages and loading them when the user clicks on the relevant link
Re: One Page or Multipage Design
Was just a thought. Suppose it depends how much info is on it. Couldn’t be any slower than my Wordpress site.

One page may be great for sites that have just a few pages let's say (5) but what happens when greater than in the 10's and 20's and each one has large content of text, images etc you end up scrolling up/up down just to view not to mention loading times. It may look easier on paper but overall you would still be designing the same as if for multiple pages which is easier to navigate by simply clicking a menu link for each page just my opinion.I was thinking it might be easier to keep responsive and make quicker it run quicker.

Most sites are faster than wordpress. We had a site built by someone using wordpress - around 11,000 files. I redid it in WWB and it was around 150 files.Morayweb wrote: Sat Dec 23, 2023 3:23 pm Was just a thought. Suppose it depends how much info is on it. Simple answer no WordPress is a CMS (serversided) applcation where as WWB is Web Design tool..please see Pablos reply...Is there any easy methods of converting a Wordpress to web.
Pablo wrote: Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:09 pmNo, that is not possible. Is it possible to move a WordPress site to WWB?
WordPress stores its data in a database on the server, because it's a content management system.
WWB is a web design tool.

Re: One Page or Multipage Design
Depends what type of content you want people to show in one page rather than in multi-page for some people who have less interest on showing contact they create a contact page separately for others, they have their about us page separately to give it. Highlight or write more content descriptively so it does depend.
So if you have not much of an information or contract which you want to show then I think 1 page is the best solution. But whenever you think that you need a page to have more contact then you can just separate it and put more content and organize it better.
