Generic question relating to an extension for a self-menaged website.

Post by MUDJ »

Hello all!
I have to create a website for a client who has a shop. This customer will have to independently insert images (vertical and horizontal, with descriptions and price (only of the products on offer). There is an extension which, once inserted, allows (remotely from another online page after logging in) to add independently an image, a description of the image and a price, with the possibility of also inserting a link to another page via a button, and all of this being inserted into a responsive page that automatically adapts the layout correctly?
All this, to avoid having to call me daily to enter the products, prices, descriptions and so on.
If the extension doesn't exist, can anyone help me understand how pages made this way should be created?
I have the latest version of WWB.
Thanks.

Hello Pablo..
Not the shop because the shop have a dedicated page.. Have only to create a offers page with image product, description, price and all have to be impaginate on a page, type card, but into a layout grid to be adaptative (type a gallery) but not into gallery.. and if click on complete image or description or price, the link will correspond to the product page within the shop..

In that case, the CMS tools (and CMS card) may be useful.

Thanks for information! I know this because you already mentioned them to me some time ago, but is much complicated for a person that not understand of software and pc..

I looking for a simple 4 functions:

"add "+" or delete "-" or "modify"product (add, remove or modify product with description and price
"add image" (resized automatically in miniature and automatically inserted on space created for it)
"add description" and put description below image
"Add price" (and is put below or right description)

All these functions (4) must be entered from an online page with login, in order to then be able to upload the images locally and subsequently upload them online by clicking on "Save".
When saved, the images with description and price, they must be inserted into a specific page, but automatically, as if they were cards, a little larger, and laid out perhaps in 4 or 6 columns but, by adding others, they are inserted below automatically, all in a grid layout in so as to view them correctly even from smartphones.

This person will certainly not be able to insert images and text from an editor and then see if the result is correct. It is 70 years old and has almost 40,000 products.

If it's about programming the page, I would be interested in knowing how to do it, or what to use so that the result is the same. It must practically only be a showcase page, but which lists the products on offer only to be seen, not to purchase them directly.

If you need this functionality then you will need a third party webshop like Shopify, Vibracart or Ecwid Shopping Cart.

Hi MUDJ,

Have a look at phpjabbers. I use their shop plugin and it does what you want to achieve. The customer can login online and add pics, products prices etc. also takes care of stock items as well.

Hope that helps :D

And you can turn off the checkout function and use the phpjabbers as a product catalog if your customer doesn't want to take orders online.
