Reducing image weight

Post by Trugmaker »

Don't know if it is of interest, but if your website has large images, I have found that using a free online jpeg (or other) conversion to WEBP tool reduces images by around 70%. Handy for faster loading.

I was dreaming that this was built into WYSIWYG Web builder and it would automatically convert the files for me.

I don't like using websites to convert files, for one it takes forever.

if you don't mind spending a bit of money, I just converted over 200 files to .webp in 10 seconds with NCH Software "Pixillion"

I don't know if it is the best, but it is pretty inexpensive, and I use it also. Also, use their Prism video convertor to reduce the size of videos.
