Hi, I recently added a search box to my website and this works very well, in fact too well as it picks up old webpages that I deleted months and years ago. Although current webpages do not have links to these deleted pages they are still on the server.
Can I use WYSIWYG Webbuilder to remove published pages, or do I have to go into the server files and remove them individually?
I have backup copies of the deleted pages so can reinsert them into WYSIWYG.
Thanks’.

Re: Removing published Webpages
The built-in Site Search index database will not include any pages that no longer exist in your project.
If you remove a page from the Site Manager then all data will be removed from the project.
However, the file will not be removed from the server. You will need to do that manually.

Re: Removing published Webpages
Obviously this depends if its a personal website or a commercial site but ......
I periodically delete all WWB pages, images etc from the server - as page contents change, get added and removed over time - I then republish the current website.
Although the website is down for a very short period of time this cleanses the server for me.
As always backups are a sensible precaution.
