Web page refuses to update!

Post by fulbourn »

www.noteablemusic.co.uk
I have made changes to the index (first page) of www.noteablemusic.co.uk

However, when 'live' the site has not updated this page and shows old information.
I cannot discover why!

Would somebody be willing to help me, please?
I do not want to see 'December 2023' towards the top of the page as I have filled that space with something quite different.

If you can resolve my ineptitude I would be most grateful.

Hi "fulbourn" looks changed to me. So I think you have to empty the browser cash to see your changes.

@bluesman : ) it is not a cache issue if it was you and I would not see the same. I think the changes were not have been published properly

@fulbourn

Try and republish again with all changes or the full website and then try and see it. Maybe there were errors or files did not upload correctly.

How did you update the page did you open your project in WB19 then remove the text object (wb_Text32) containing December 2023 from the page (index) then save including all files not just the project (.wbs) then republish all. Please see the following Publishing your web pages reading from Publish all files to Publish changed files only.

Does it look correct in local preview?
Are there any errors in the publish log?

I have just had a look at http://www.noteablemusic.co.uk/ and I can't see the image December 2023 as posted by @wwonderfull and it looks as though it has now been replaced or it was a cache issue as originally suggested.

@lummis wwonderfull's image was only a screenshot of the incorrect display showing December 2023 which was actually a text object. It looks like fulbourn has read my reply and removed the text object then uploaded the page again which now shows it as it is now...

I'm more puzzled than ever!
My amended website appears correctly on my iphone ... but not on my PC.

The new (correct) version displays the current date at the top of the home page.
The old (incorrect version) displays a December date.

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to deal with this problem.

I can now see the updated page.
So, I think the problem is with your browser / cache.
