PHP Mailer - SMTP w/ Google Workspace

I'm hoping someone with more knowledge regarding email setup can help me. My hosting service requires PHP Mailer - SMTP for email configuration. I was able to configure it with an email account provided by my hosting service, but I can't figure out how to set it up with my Google Workspace email. I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me through the steps or provide me with some helpful documentation.

As you mention it works with the email of your domain but in general your host will not allow you to send emails from a external email such as gmail, hotmail or yahoo. This is primarily down to these emails are used to spam so it is preferred to use your host's.

Forms FAQ under Emails are not arriving in my inbox...5. Does your host allow you to send email to the destination email address? Some hosts do not allow you to send emails outside your own domain.

The mx records are pointed to the Google Workspace email from the host. The entire setup is authorized by the host. remote mailservers are selected. Google workspace emails are setup using the domain itself.

Ahh. I just saw that link. It's the closest i've gotten to a possibility.

I'm just not sure if Google workspace emails are the same as gmail.
