Global Replace

Post by Lasa »

When I built the website I used Raleway font for everything ... I want to see how Roboto would look across the page or site, so i thought I could use Global Replace. But when I pick text, property font family old value Raleway (I chose raleway from dropdown), new value: I chose Roboto
I click replace and it does not do anything...
What could I be doing wrong.

My WWB is up to date 19.3.1

Any ideas?

Which other settings did you use?
What is the structure of your website?
Do you have a DEMO project?

Thanks for your comments...to test
I opened a blank page.
Made a text box with a few words.
Highlighted the words and changed the font to Raleway.
Opened up Global replace. from within Global replace...
I picked text, property font family old value Raleway (I picked raleway from dropdown),
new value: I chose Roboto from dropdown
I click replace and it does not do anything.

I also tried with non-google fonts like Ariel, global replaced to impact, no change.

If I leave all object (selected) checked it works perfectly.
What I was doing was unselecting everything and only leaving the TEXT checked and it would not work.
Is that a bug or is leaving the TEXT checked the wrong procedure.
Does it always have to have everything selected?

To be able to help you, I need a project file so I can see all your settings. The software has thousands of options and millions of possible combination.
There is no way for me to know which options and/or combinations you have used, without your project file.

I have tried to download your file in different browser but all I get is an empty file.

Maybe the text is not standard text box?
If you need help then please share a DEMO project.

Thanks for the project.
It turn outs you are using 'rich text' (where the object can have multiple fonts), in this case you will need to check 'other' in the object list to include it in global replace.
I can understand that this can be confusing, so I will investigate if this can be improved.

Wow, thanks a lot!
Is Rich text something I unknowingly chose somewhere or is it automatic used when you use TEXT instead RESPONSIVE TEXT?
