Post by MM8MM »

I want to put my own font in the site files.. I use the font but the font is on my device and therefore does not appear on the device on which the font is not present.. How do I put my own font in the site files?

Tools --> Options --> Fonts -- HTML = choose 'Manually specify @font-face fonts', click on Manage, then click Add and enter the information for your font. Make sure your font is in the correct formats.

We need more information to be able to help you.

What exactly did you do?
Did you convert the font?
What are your settings?

The image you provided doesn't help as you have hidden the fonts name. Is the font installed on your PC? What is the url to your site.

These are the site files. See, the font is there but it doesn't show up because it's not on your machine.

Your setup is not correct.

First you will need to convert the font to WOFF or WOFF2 format (for modern browsers) , because otherwise the browser cannot use it. If you also want to support older browsers then also convert to EOT and SVG.
Then in the Web Fonts configuration you will need to set only that font. Do not select the same file for different formats.

Also, the font name needs to be valid, you cannot make something up yourself (444 is not correct).

This time I added the font in all formats WOFF2, WOFF, EOT, ttf, SVG and the same problem of font not showing up appeared

The font family name in the web font configuration is still not correct. I think in this case, '444' needs to be '_Farman Kharabayi_U_01'. Although this name is kind of confusing for a font...

What is the solution? What should I do?

Is the following an actual font Farman Kharabayi_U_01.ttf or have you renamed the font to this? I am asking as I have tried to search for this font and got nothing to match. If you have renamed then please change back to correct/original name and try again.

The solution is to set the correct name in the web font configuration. The name must match the actual font family name of the font, otherwise there is no way to link the selected font files to the font in the text.

Solved Thank you The problem was related to matching names.. But there is a problem in version 19 when I want to upload the font from my device to a program that does not display fonts! This problem does not exist in version 18 See the picture
#Important note: It is better when creating a font to collect all the fonts in a file named font.. Now if you have 10 fonts they will be distributed on the hosting and this is something unorganized

What do you mean by 'upload'? What did you do and where does it stop working?
Can you please be more specific?

I'm sorry, but I do nit understand what you mean by
"upload the font from my device to the program from here"
Which "device" are you referring to?
How are you 'uploading' the font to the program?
What exactly are you doing?

Your screenshot is not helpful without more context.

Not 100% but this could be related to the following urks below as is for WB19 and not WB18 so may explain.
See the following url reading from Google Fonts
viewtopic.php?t=97947
Also reading from Variable Fonts...you may or will need to re-install fonts from the font manager.

Please try this:

Uncheck "Display Websafe fonts only"
Click OK
Open the dialog again
The list should now also include non-web safe fonts.

Note that in general it not a good idea to use fonts which are not web safe!

I mean uploading my device's fonts to the program from (Display web safe fonts only) and not Google.

Wonder if it's just as simple as: you have not installed the ".ttf" version of the fonts in to the "Fonts" folder within "Windows" folder for your OS? This must also be for you to get the fonts appear in all software font lists.

All fonts are installed on my device.. but why do the fonts appear in WB18 and not in WB19? Does WB19 show you all fonts on your device?
Look at this video, I shot both versions.. The WB19 version doesn't display the fonts, but the WB18 version displays all the fonts.

Ends up in "Pablos" suggestion. You can not have the "Display Websafe fonts only" checked, that you have in the video...
