content place holder

For years placing pages in the content area of the placeholder (by selecting page properties/miscellaneous/masterpage ) worked fine.
Until now.
When I want a page to be placed in the content area of the masterpage the complete masterpage pop up and can not be removed.
It ruins my work and pleasure.
Can someone help me out?

If you require help can you please share a "Demo" project of your .wbs when doing so remove all and any extensions used.

I am not aware of any issue with this feature.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
Also, please include a description how to reproduce this problem.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.
