***SOLVED***Why are Pictures with Transparent Backgrounds Appearing with White Backgrounds in Browser Previews?

Post by scribeman01 »

Greetings! I'm a newbie here and have picture issue where inserted PNG's & JPEG's appear with White backgrounds in browser previews for Firefox & Edge. The backgrounds are transparent when inserting into the editor. These images did not have those issues in GoDaddy's web builder and these images were created previously in Adobe Photoshop. I've seen documentation on your AI 3rd party feature for creating transparent backgrounds, but what good does that do if the backgrounds are already transparent in the pictures? I'm stalemated on this and not seeing much documentation online. Thank you for any insights!

Images are published "AS IS' so if they look different in the browser then they may have been saved in the wrong format.
Or you may have enabled an option which disables transparency.

If you need further assistance then please share a demo project so I can see what you have done.

Please note that the colour of the workspace (editor) is set to white (by default) it also represents the colour of the web page background when "Previewed" to which can be set in the page properties to what ever you wish. Also note that jpeg not JPEG images do not support transparency or have a transparent background they will display as a solid color/colour. Whereas png does support transparency and when used in the workspace (white) will show as having white background including "Preview"
If you need further help then please provide a basic "Demo" of your project this is the .wbs file not a url to your site or page.
In this instance it would just be a single page including the said images in the format you mentioned.

PROBLEM RESOLVED! After I unchecked the "Use Theme" box (Style) in the Picture Properties box for all affected graphics. I also unchecked "Use Theme" for all the page properties as this is a custom build. THANK YOU!
