embedded page & breakpoints

Post by probear20 »

Hello forum members,
I have a website running with breakpoints (I know, I know... it's no longer up-to-date )12and built a carousel on its own side. This carousel works very well and so I have it as an embedded page on my default page.
As soon as I open a new breakpoit, the system takes over all objects of the default page – but not the embedded page.
If I now want to embed a new page on the breakpoint page, the system says it can't insert the same master page twice, if I then create another page with a different carousel and embed this page, it won't be displayed.

How can I remedy this???

Thanks in advance for the great suggestions

Best regards
Jean

The master page should have the same breakpoints as the content page.
To adjust the content of the master page, you should make changes directly on the master page itself. Using the same master page more than once would result in multiple objects with identical IDs, rendering the page structure invalid.

Hi Pablo,
and thanks for your quick Answer.
Now ich make the carousel side with the same breakpoints, like all other sides.
But, in the first breakpoint-side, after the default side, i put in an embedded side and make a link to the carousel-side.
but cant say, that the link is to the same breakpoint like the first side.
And now, the system said, that i cant use the master-side more than one time in a side.
Its the same i take in breakpoint, like i take in defaut-side.
Have you pleas another Idea?
Thanks a lot.

As master page or embedded page can only used one time per page. Otherwise the HTML structure of the page will no longer be valid.
This is not the right way to do this.

If you need further assistance then please share a DEMO project so I can see what you have done.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Hi Pablo,

thanks for looking after my work. Now on my website “www.dreifke-getraenke.de” you can look for the problems. There are two sites with default (1920) breakpoints and also breakpoints on 1366. And a third page named carousell1920. This site has also a breakpoint on 1366.
Now I put in the default page a carousel 1920 (the name is showing on the carousel) and on the next breakpoint (1366) the is another version from this carousel; its smaller cause 1366. Its also named laying over the carousel.
Now, when I open these sites in the net, it started with the maximized screen 1922 und you see (before changing) the name “carousel 1920”
When you make the screen smaller, to 1366, you see only the first picture (no carousel and you only see page 2. When you started with page one, sou see, page 2, and when you stared from page 2, you see page two – but no carousel.

My English is not very good, but I hope you understand my problems.

Many thanks an best regards
Jean

When asked to provide a "Demo" it is not the url to your site it is a "Demo" or "Copy" project (.wbs) file. By doing this the project can be opened in the software and see exactly what you have done. Please carefully read the link Pablo provided on how to do this.
Looking at the url you provided only shows a couple of lines of text there is no carousel. As I wrote it is a "Copy" of your project required (.wbs)

Step 1
Upload the project to your website

Step 2
Share the link to the file

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Hi Pablo,

first, i have to say sorry. sorrytaht it tooks so long time, but i stay in hospital, so i can't mowe forward with may project.

but now ... i built a test project, wit two pages and this one time for 1920 and second for 1280.
for this i built also two carousels. one 1920 and one 1280.

for this carousels, ... when it doesn't work, ... i put the three imagess on the top of every site. plz download this images and put in into the carousels.

when all sites in both resolutions ak, then you can try.

on the site with 1920 the carousel works, on the site with 1280 there will be only showed the first image of the carousel, and the carousel doesn't work.

i hope you understand, cause my english is not so good.

you find all in www.dreifke.eu

thank you for all an i have a great hope of your answer.

kind regards
Jean

When asked to provide Demo or a copy of your project it is referring to the .wbs file not the url or page. This is asked because we cannot see what you have done just looking at the page and it's html.
Please carefully read the following on.how to share the project (.wbs)

First note that you do not have to duplicate object for breakpoint, this is only adds more weight to the page and makes it more difficult to manage.

Also, it looks like you have duplicated IDs, there are ,multiple carousels with the same ID .That is most likely the reason it does not work.

If you need further assistance then please share DEMO project.
