Luckily, I got the taste of most of those windows OS. There used to be a time when we used to use windows XP back in the days. By back in the days, I mean back in the old days if you know what I mean. Then came windows vista looked cool as if a new look the windows xp. So after using windows vista came which became a favorite. The styles the way it used to work all gave that modern problem-solving feeling. Then came windows 8 which came with the futuristic look which later developed into windows 10 which is it's successor and then we now have windows 11.

But those previous windows such as windows XP, windows Visa, or even the ICONIC windows 7 previously had issues such as it needed drivers manually needed to be installed errors and bugs were still present such as compatibility issues, limited ram support, no native use 3.0 support and other settings related learning curve.

The most important reason why people should not use the previous versions is because they have security issue which can cause business loss or even data theft. If people think Microsoft windows is not safe enough, they can even use LINUX, UBUNTU, DEBIAN, FEDORA, OPENSUSE many more.

But for the sake of ease of use and useability, I prefer windows 11. They improved a lot on their security settings UI and even the UX and even the preinstalled drivers along with modern solutions. So, all in all, will try to stay securely updated based on any present or future windows versions.

Easiest thing for me so far... automated file name suggestions based on content in Notepad.

I've been using Windows since version 1.0. Now on Windows 11, but I'm using various 3rd party tools to make it look and feel like Windows 7, which is before Steve Balmour tried to ruin it.

I had the same thing on my mind too so used this software for the start menu STARTISBACK

I have actually accepted Windows' cosmetic changes over the years and thought 10 was better than 7. Only 8 was a disaster design wise I consider. I really like they introduced 'recent files' in Explorer and now file name suggestions in Notepad. And that ridiculous bloated Start menu from 10 is pretty clean now! All in all a happy 11 user

Yes, I windows 10 is a bit faster compared to windows 11. Cosmetica changes I think people do like some old windows panels and features where things were plain to the eye the settings were not too much deep hidden.

Windows 11 was trying to make a MAC out of windows so added the modern blur styling and the fluent ui and all that stuff, but I think they will improve for sure. For older pc's even win 11 would do fine but a hardware update can for sure improve better performance for any operating system. specially ram, gpu and processor.
