***SOLVED***Flexible Layout Issues

Post by scribeman01 »

Greetings Pablo, I am working on a flexible layout and using the flexible layout grids. I'm working with 970 grid margin (specific page margin) and all of the flexible layout grids I'm using all specify "not to exceed 970". I had gotten into trouble with this grid when I was incorrectly using break points and removed them all to adjust the default pages, then to proceed afterwards to reinsert breakpoints. The problem is the preview display is spacing out outside both sides and on the bottom. I am also trying to determine what are the best parameters to set for default, ipad, and mobile phone. I do have the "do not center" command set in the page properties. Any help will be most appreciated - stalemated on this. If you would like me to upload the web files for you to look at, is there a way I can do that as I currently transferring the site from GoDaddy to Hoslinger. THANKS!

You need to provide the .WBS file and then we can see what you are doing.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
Also, please include a description how to reproduce this problem.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the published page (HTML), because the software has thousands of options and millions of possible combinations.
So, there is no way to know which options you have used by looking at the HTML only.

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

Please see the following How do I share my project to get help? Read from "Then upload your project (.wbs) to your website or another public server and include the link in your post." for example you can use onedrive, googledrive or the likes of Mediafire

I looked at the instructions for uploading my wbs.file & relevant images. I'm still waiting for my domain to transfer so that I can make my website live and then to upload the wbs & image files. I can't do anything about that until I'm "live"? How would you grab the files? I would make them available to you but not for others to see? Thank you.

As already mentioned you can either use the likes of onedrive or googledrive if you use them, or use one of the many "Free" public servers such as Mediafire and in all instances simply provide the url to be able to grab. See the following to contact direct Contact Form

Just saw your 2 emails and I will reconstruct with the layout grids and ease up on Flexbox for now. I concede that I haven't absorbed the container portion required for Flexbox also. Back to the drawing board and thanks again Pablo for the excellent support!
