Desperately need some guidance with solving a problem

I am having a problem with the layout appearing totally differently when I preview it in a browser (local computer) and how it appears when uploaded to the site and viewed online.
This is the local brower preview which is fime


However this is the view online once uploaded.


ANy suggestions on where I should start looking for the problem would be appreviated

A couple things to check:

1. Did you upload all the necessary files to the server?
2. Did you do a hard refresh to clear the cache?

Do you have a link to the page so we can see it? Hard to say without seeing it in action.
