Embedding Videos

Post by johnsmith0251 »

What's your fave way to do it?

If you're mindful of it - what do you find to be the most effective way to add video without bogging down page speed or site code?

Embedding youtube videos was always a go to, but now with all of those ads I started moving the videos to the server.

Looking forward to all of your thoughts :)

Although not used have you looked at "Rumble"? you would have to manually add the source into the page html. I believe they do a "Ad" free..

I'll deff take a look at that - i'm also interested how people here add videos to their pages in general :)

I worry about it bogging down site speed and hurting the google page speed score.

youtube is our standard practice. yep, the ads are a nuisance, but they gotta pay for that platform some way. it keeps the bandwidth on our servers down. for clients that don't have a youtube channel, we set it up for them as an added bonus.
