[SOLVED] Using WPX8 Slider with WYSIWYG Web Builder

Post by AliGW »

Hi, all!

Over the years I have been an avid user of WebPlus. Well, I have finally reached the end of the road with it, sadly, and am moving over to WYSIWYG Web Builder.

I was wondering if anyone who ever used WPX8 had had any success using a slider generated in WebPlus in a WWB site? I can access all of the code from the HTML on my old website and I have all of the components needs (.js files), but I don't know if or how I can incorporate them into my new (responsive) site.

I am going to ask the same question on Alfred's Serif Users' Forums.

Happy Christmas!

Have you looked at the available slider extensions with Wizzy? Seems that would be a far easier solution and the best way forward. I was a Serif user, but that ship sank long ago.

No, Serif did not sink - the Plus range of software did, though. Affinity is now their game.

I'll have a look at Wizzy - thanks.

It might help to outline what I need and specify what I don't want.

I'd like a slider that will sit on the page and run automatically. It needs to cope with different orientations (portrait, landscape or square) without altering their aspect ratio and without having to have a filmstrip or grid of thumbnails on tha page. I don't want images to have to be opened in a popup lightbox.

If anyone knows of anything that does this, I'd be grateful - none of the lightboxes or galleries that come within the program by default seem to do this. I know there are many others I can look at, but if someone knows which one might fulfil my needs, it woudld save some time.

Thank you.

Just found bxSlider - this might do what I want. I shall have a proper look after Christmas.

Thanks again. Merry Christmas!

EDIT: Well, that was easy! All sorted - bxSlider does exactly what I want. :D

Yes, and I have licensed all three of those Affinity products. I was referring to the Serif products that you and used in the past.

Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas!
