Picture not resizing in ipad

Hi I have created a website using layout grids. On the home page I have a background image with a carousel on top showing text all full width.
My problem arises when I view the page on an iPad, the image will not shrink to show the full picture but it looks fine on normal desktop and also on mobile phones. I do not have any breakpoints.

I have tried changing the settings for cover, contain etc but nothing works. The problem is only when viewed on an iPad.
My test site can be viewed at the link below, note the http://www. Should be removed since it is on a sub domain.

Unfortunately, this is a bug in the browser on the iPad. it does not handle 'cover' correctly.
It may help to set the height to 'auto' instead of 75vh
