Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
I have a website that used to work just fine. But since I decided to leave cPanel (because it gets more expensive and more limited every quarter) for CWP, the audio does not work anymore. I have several Media Players on my website (HTML5 Audio), I can see them load on startup, but then quickly after that, I see the play button turn grey, and I can't play the files. I have not changed anything to the website itself. I only replaced cPanel with Centos Web Panel.

Maybe the server does not support the names of your audio files?

Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
So I shortened the mp3 files to numbers, but unfortunately, that had no effect. I have uploaded the original again.

When asked for a "Demo" it is a copy "Basic" project file the .wbs not a url... But a quick view of the source shows that the files are invalid as they have special characters in then you should not use @ in them. It may have previously worked in your old hosting but may be restricted in CWP

Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
Are you sure the audio files are on the server?
The files cannot even be played outside the player:

And that's the whole thing. They are on the server. Could it be a firewall thing?Pablo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 12:31 pm Are you sure the audio files are on the server?

It may be a server restriction.

As previously the file names are invalid come are using a mixture if uppercase and lowercase they have @ and . within them.
Filenames should be all lowercase and not use@ or . in them
Filenames should be all lowercase and not use@ or . in them
Code: Select all

Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
No that can't be the problem. I created an mp3 file named 1.mp3. That did not work either, plus the filename "https://stemacteur.life/sounds/sinterkl ... 002819.mp3" always worked in the past.BaconFries wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 1:51 pm As previously the file names are invalid come are using a mixture if uppercase and lowercase they have @ and . within them.

Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
I doubt it has anything do with the programme/software or the Audio Player used it will be a issue on the server CWP. Have you reached out to them as they may have a restriction on using mp3 or file names as already mentioned.

Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
I managed to get the mp3 from the last url you gave and it played in soundcloud. This tells me it is a fault with CWP and a configuration issue so would suggest you need to contact them.
Re: Audio Player not working after switch from cPanel to CWP
I found the reason why it did not play the audio files. It had to do with Mod_Security and the rules. Thanks a lot btw
