User Login not working after upgrade to WB20

Post by signaldog »

Prior to upgrading to WB 20, I have two login areas of my website that were functioning correctly. The databases still exist on the web hosting, and I can download, edit, and upload (and see the changes) in WB 20. None of my login functions are working! I can't log in as an admin nor can my members.

website: https://www.cvma15-1.net

I can provide screenshots of settings upon request.

I cannot see what you have done based on the published page.

What type of database are you using?
Which other features did you use?
Are there any errors in the PHP error log on the server?

Is the server PHP up to date (7.4 or newer)?
Are you using the latest update of the software (build date 1/21/2025)?

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

Link to project: https://1drv.ms/u/c/a491c2873b4b3ee4/EZ ... Q?e=mnny6T

Only 1 user is in the database here.
username: testing
Password: admin

this project is published to http://testing.cvma15-1.net/admlogin.php along with the target page and the user database.

I have found one mistake in your setup.
In the object 'ProtectedPage1' you have selected user roles, however this feature is not supported for CSV databases.

Please uncheck 'Administrator' in user roles

Also, can you please confirm that you are using the latest build (1/21/2025 - hotfix)?
A new update was released this morning so if you did not install it today then you do not have the latest update.

Pablo,

Thanks for the assistance. Removing the user roles fixed our problem. Not sure how that broke but it's working now so no issue.

Note that there is a note about this in the help:
Important: User roles are only available when the database type is set to MYSQL, CSV files do not support user roles.

Can you provide a bit more information? Just saying it doesn't work doesn't help. Are you getting any errors? Did you see the previous responses from Pablo above. Can you provide a demo project?
