alignment Layers to the center, display background page in the margins

Post by karkojk »

Hi, I'm trying different options and here I can't get the Layers to simply align to the center of the page so that the background of the page shows at the edges when viewed larger on the monitor. Aligning to the right and to the left works, otherwise I couldn't do it with different combinations, rather it "splits" ;-).
I haven't solved it via CSS yet, I think I'm doing something wrong here. Maybe solve it all differently, but this way it should work too. I have no experience in new HTML5 stuff, so thanks for any opinion/tip.

Firstly, I do not think this is the best way to design your layout. The layout will not be responsive.

To center the content in absolute layout you can set the page alignment to 'center in browser'.
However, I recommend to use layout grids of flexbox instead.

that's just a hasty splash page, oddly enough it worked as I wanted in all views until I wanted to show other edges (backgroud of the page) when the display was larger to break the "stripes" from edge to edge.
The page is centered, everything is centered, only this layer runs off to the left or right.
Thanks Pablo, I'll take a look, edit, redo.

Pablo, that's cool, I was just wondering technically. The link, saved as a zip is in the first post, it's the one page.

The layer is set to 'floating' so it will not be part of the body container.
To center it, use 'default'

Magic ;-), I tried so many variations and it kept misaligning or going across the page. Now I put default and that's it. That's why I had to ask as it was on my mind.
Thanks so much for your time.

I'll ask if the background transition to lost works. The top image in WWB18, the second in the browser.
I found one similar case, link below.

I'm sorry, but it is not clear for me what you are asking.
Can you please be more specific?

The top, sent picture is as it should be, the transition to the edges to the lost. Set in WWB18 as background. The second image is the output in the browser. Below that is a link of a similar problem.
I've already solved it using shape, where the overlay works as it should. So solved though in a different way.

Ok, I think there is some confusion about the use of the word 'transition'. This is normally referred to as an 'animation', but it looks like you mean something else?
Because you have set the layer mode to 'default', it will have the design time width. So, if the browser window is wider then you will see the page background at both sides.

Sorry for the confusion, I probably should have started a new thread. It's a different thing, but in the same project. English is not my strong point. Here I meant the transition to the lost - background gradient with Alpha - version 18 - there is a typo in the image .

Here is a similar topic that was already addressed in version 17.

This problem has been solved almost two years ago, so I doubt that it's the same issue.
If you need help then please share a DEMO project.

Friend Pablo, sorry for my doubt.

Text Alignment Center class name 1 <h1> changes to alignment LEFT at break point when I apply hyperlink in that text. How to maintain Text Alignment in Center?

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
Also, please include a description how to reproduce this problem.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

I am not able to duplicate the issue. When I place a text object in the workspace, sent the H1 tag to center and apply it to the text object via the class option, the text centers in both default and breakpoints. When I add a link to the text, it stays centered in both breakpoints.

The reason why the text is aligned to the left is because the layout grid column (VenderMaisLayoutGrid3) is set to left in the 480 breakpoint.

Re: alignment Layers to the center, display background page in the margins

Olá amigo Pablo, boa tarde!

Meu site www.carlosmartins.com.br é antigo, feito no wwb.

Carlos Martins

My website www.carlosmartins.com.br is old, created on the web. All pages were created using LayoutGrid, where the text column appears in the middle of the page, with the exception of a page with a 132-question questionnaire that occupies the entire width of the page, which opens as a pop-up in a smaller window (https://carlosmartins31.websiteseguro.c...cional.htm).

Now, instead of opening as a pop-up window I would like to open this questionnaire on a normal page of the website. In other words, the questionnaire will appear within the central columns of the page (LayoutGrid).

Please excuse my question: Is there a solution on WWB so that I can simply change the layout of the old page and turn it into a page with 3 columns? Or will I be forced to redo the 132 question quiz inside a new page with LayoutGrid ? Would it be possible for me to use the old questionnaire from the old page and add two vertical columns on the sides of the questionnaire?

Thank you very much!

Maybe you can use an inline frame?
