[SOLVED] Website Changes for Mobile Phone

Post by AliGW »

I've been building my website for a couple of months now and am very happy with the way it performs on all devices except mobile phones, where the header (which has been set up on a master page) needs to change.

I think I need to set up one breakpoint for this, because the menu bar needs to change to a hamburger menu and the logo needs to be smaller. I presume that I only need to do this once on the master page (hopefully, anyway).

I know that I read something about this somewhere, but forgot to bookmark it: does anyone know where I can read up on the menu transformation issue, please? I don't want help to do this (at the moment), so I am not sharing a demo file as there's no need - I'm just trying to locate the relevant documentation. I have tried to find it, but I'm obviously not using the correct search terms.

Thank you. :)

The responsive menu and drop down menu have hamburger mode, where you can set the breakpoint for the menu itself. In that case, you do not need to set a breakpoint for the entire page.

Alternatively, you can add a breakpoint to the (master) page. But then you will also need to add the same breakpoint to all pages that use this master page.

There are many menus like themeable and even responsive or even other menu which upon breakpoint shows hamburger menu icon. Themeable menu supports logo by the way.

OK - thanks, both - this gets me most of the way there.

Now I just need to work out how to get the hamburger icon to appear on the right instead of the left and to get rid of the word 'menu'. I'm using a responsive menu.

I'll have a play and see if I can get it looking the way I want it.

Thanks very much! :D

Got it working perfectly ... almost!

How can I get the hamburger icon to right align with the right-hand side of the viewport? Which setting will allow this to happen?

Thanks.
