WEB Builder hierarchy

Post by pizzazz »

Howdy Gang!

In the folder hierarchy, assume my site name is Mike. There is a folder named Mike_Site, and this is where
all of the images are placed.

Although I have not found the answer, but can I have a sub-folder hierarchy at the top of Mike_Site so I can
have the images in a logical grouping?

I want the hierarchy to be persistent and not destroyed by the tool.

Thanks

Mike

Note that the local file structure is not the same as the published file structure.
The structure in the site manager determines where your pages / images are published.

So, the local hierarchy is not 'destroyed' by the tool.

Also note that by default images are published a sub folder of the current page. This can be configured in Tools -> Options -> Publish -> File type output folder

Here is my physical hierarchy for the site.

"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\images"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\master_photos"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\Published"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\Barb_Site.wbs"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\Copy_images.bat"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\Delete_Local_Publish.bat"
"D:\Important_and_backed_up\WEB_Sites\Barb_WEB_Site_WYSIWYG_Builder\Barb_Site"

in the folder Barb_Site.wbs all of the images that are displayed on the pages are in this folder.

What I'm asking is, can I have sub-folders in Barb_Site.wbs? Also, the ".wbs" extension is not displayed in the windows fie browser.

Hold on.

The images are in Barb_Site and it should have been included in the previous submission

The .wbs is the software file.

The local file structure is not the same as the published file structure.
If you want to create folders, then you will have to do this in the site manager.
Also, the ".wbs" extension is not displayed in the windows fie browser.
This is a system settings, unrelated to the software itself.
