How can I rebuild a project - help - urgent

Post by jsicuran@amilabs.com »

Hi Pablo, long time no speak. I am a long time customer all the way from v 9 I recall. I have version 19. My dev laptop where I have my webbuilder projects on recently had a fatal hard disk overwrite. I cannot even recover the drive's data using tools or services. I had my main production website on that drive. I have a backup of the project files but they are 10 months old and a few changes to the site were made since. I can rebuild the dev laptop re-install v19 and reload my project but it is older than what is on production on my hosting service. Is there a way to recreate the project from what is in production so I don't have to rebuild those pieces that were added over the last 10 months?
Right now I cannot make any public web changes and that is okay but I will need to soon.

Please advise on any options.

If you can't recover anything more recent from the drive then what you have as a backup may have to suffice to get you started again.
You could also try importing the html from your host/server with this it can only import images and text and a couple other features such as the body attributes and the form elements if used. It will or should be the most recent files available depending when you published to help you to rebuild anything missing again once in the software.
See the following:

You will also need to reinstall/download any and all extensions paid/free used in your project(s) so that you will be able to open any of the backups you may have.

Note that WWB can also back up your project to the server.
If this feature was enabled, you may be able to retrieve the latest version of your project from the server.

Thanks guys for following up and validating what I found in the FAQ. I had the auto backup on publish set a few revs ago so I see it on the hosting server and may go that route but that is dated further then what I wanted. I did make a vm image of the whole laptop 6 months ago and that has v19 and the projects so I will try that first. Thanks again great support as always.
