Flexgrid background doesn't obey size limits

A weird one and I am sure it's me not doing something right, but I cannot see what.

I have a flex grid that I have set as maximum width of 1280. All is OK except I have a background image and that will insist on going the full width of my screen and not limit itself to 1280 pixels. I've tried changin from 'cover' to 'contain' and all the other options. Nothing works.

Incidently, the layout grid exhibits the same behaviour.

Any help appreciated.

Did you try setting the max-width to a negative number like with a layout grid? Can't remember if this works for Flexgrid also like with layout grid.

This is normal behavior. The background will always use the full width.
When using layout grids you can limit the background by adding a dash in front of the max width value.
This is documented in the help.

In version 21, you will also be able to limit the background in Flex Grid / Flex Container / Card Container, just like in layout grids.
