Cannot Publish the site
I am trying to publish the site and WWB freezes. I tried local (folder) and remote FTP. None works. I have to kill the program through task manager. I've had some issues with freezing some time ago doing other tasks.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
Perhaps your virusscanner is scanning the generated files in the background which is causing a delay or your website is using large images or other files such as pdfs that need to be processed? Have you tried the likes of cuteftp or filezilla?

Re: Cannot Publish the site
There are no known issues with publishing.
This is most likely a configuration issue.
For example, you may have enabled server backup, and if you have a large then it may take a long time before the project has been uploaded.
But, the software has thousands of options and millions of possible combinations, so you will need to be more specific about that you have done if you need help with this.

Thanks. I am working on several things, but will check for your suggestions and if the problem remains I will report back here. Last time this happened several times I rebooted PC and it worked. This time it did not, but will check few other possibilities.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
I just changed settings to simply Publish to my NAS (which is a mapped drive on the LAN), and the project was published, but then WWB completely freezes. I have to kill it through the Task Manager. Tried to reboot, and repeat, but no change. I am basically not able to use the program now.
No, there are no backup running, no virus scanning (I do not use any third part AV), and no other extra programs running at the moment I tested it.
Pablo - I am not sure what other info would you like to have. I can offer whatever is needed.
When this happened right after installing version20 I uninstalled WWB completely and after rebooting and clearing the registry I installed it again and for some time it worked OK. I am running Win10-Pro/64, plenty of HS space and RAM. I've had these issues in the past but only with v20. Did not have this type of problems with all prior versions.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
To be able to help you, I need the project file and a description of how to reproduce this behavior.
For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

Re: Cannot Publish the site
Pablo - it is not related to the project. I tested this with 3 projects and there is the same effect. I also opened one the the template generated project which was only a single page. Same effect. It is also not related to the location, because I tried 3 different locations (including the same OS drive C:) and they all failed the same way. No matter what I do the Publishing ends up with freezing, so what would the project have to do with this if even brand new one does the same ? I created another brand new project with a single (manual) page with one line of text and it fails as well. Let's not waste time on things which are irrelevant. Projects are published and the problem is with IDE not the projects, but if you insit , of course I can send you a single page project with single line of text (just confirm if you still wanna go that route).
I am open if you would like to do a remote session (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RustDesk etc.) so you can take a look, because I am clueless what is causing it.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
No one else has reported this issue, so this I can only be related to your configuration.
In some cases behavior like this is caused by a firewall, virus scanner or ransomware protection.
Make sure webbuilder.exe has been added to the exception list.
Or the temporary folder (where the files are generated) may be full?
It has previously worked for you, right? So, what did you change before it stopped working?
What are the exact steps to reproduce this?
What information is in the publish log?

Re: Cannot Publish the site
How much memory do you have in your PC and what else is using it? It could be related to a hardware issue somewhere.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
Thanks for the suggestions, but certainly it is not a hardware issue. I use very powerful PC with plenty of 64 Gb RAM and total 30 Tb HD space on multiple drives. This cause is out of the picture. I do not use any 3rd party antivirus or firewalls (except whatever is build into the OS). I will check possibility in Windows firewall and built in antivirus. If I am not mistaken last time this happened I reinstalled WWB and for some time it worked fine, then it stopped.
I wish the field for the LOG file would allow custom location and filename. No errors of any kind or anything wired in the log. Everything looks normal, and as I explained the site gets published without any issues. The only problem is freezing afterwords.
I also tested browser preview and there are no issues.
Pablo - could you please provide me the KEY. I will install WWB on my laptop. the I publish the the same locations and see if there is a problem as well.

Re: Cannot Publish the site
Are you running the software from your NAS? Have you tried using the likes of Filezilla or CuteFTP to publish as I suggested. I think it is a config issue you state that you have uninstalled/reinstalled and it works then gives you issues. The program (publishing) doesnt just work for a couple of days then stop!
I also read you had a similar issue when trying to publish to xaamp and it would freeze/crash again I would say it is a configuration related such as timing out and have you sorted this out.
What publishing mode are you using Active or Passive? this could make a difference.
