It das not work in previeuw because you fil in the url from your website.

<script src="/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://www.yourdomain.com/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
I published "entire site" and "all files" in a local folder
All files must in the same directorie as your pages on your server.

More peelaways on the same domain.

1)Select the peel extension.
2)fil in the *url ( with foldername) and the two imagesnames.
3)publisch the page to a local directorie folder on your pc.
4)put the .js file the 2 images and the flash file in a new folder on your server with an ftp program.
5)put on the page where the peel has to show up this code in page html - beginning of body tags with the name from your domain and foldername.

Code: Select all

<script src="http://www.domain.com/foldername/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Use for every peel a different foldername!

*url with foldername.

Code: Select all

http://www.domain.com/foldername

I did not test this, let us now if it works this way

Hi

I have tried this extension; it works fine on static pages but I can't seem to get it to overlay on a flash element on a page.

I have inserted a flash animation on my page then put this extension in the corner - uploaded to the server - but the resulting page has the extension working until it reaches the flash animation - where it goes behind it.

Any ideas guys?

Any ideas guys?
This is a 'feature' of Flash, it always renders on top of everything.
Sometimes it helps to set the 'window mode' of the Flash to transparent.

Could I add an iframe to the page that appears behind the peeled page?
An iframe page can u open but than you dont have a menu because the iframe page opens in a new browser window.

Make the form on a new page with a nice layout and open that page in a new browser window with the pellaway, after they have send they close the form page and are back on your index page.

Strange in my IE6 ,firefox, safari, avant browser, slimbrowser opens the peelaway as : page in new browser window.
I cannot test with IE7,its not installed on my pc.

Try first on another pc to make shure its not your browser settings.
IE7 shut also open the page in a new browser window.

In the first post from this topic is the download from the peel what stays on every position at your page.(to where you drag and drop the extension object)

This peel stays in the right corner from your browser.

Hello,

Seems everyone is getting this extension to work but I cannot. I place it on a test page, put the images and urls but nothing happens or shows.

Does it work with 6.1?

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to use this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Eddy this is great (as usual)

Just a question:

The curl opens when you hover over it - would there be any chance to have the option so it only opens and closes when you click it - like this example:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=851089

It would make a nice addition to an exceptional extension.

Thank you for all your hard work and great advice!

Darren

I dont see any peel away on that page?

You have to change these behaviors in the fla files, but i dont know if the curl works with onclick.

hi Eddy

Strange there is a peel on the page - I'm using IE. Maybe it's not there in Firefox.

It's top right - looks like a peel graphic - and you click on it and it opens and stays open.

The extension is for the right side from your screen.

You forgot to write the domain name in the extension properties window.
<script src="http://www.yourdomain.com/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Please read the included pdf about how to use this extension.

I am trying to find out now how to make changes to large.swf to make the next page show up in _self, not _blank. Thank you anyway!
There are two downloads in the first posting, one opens in a new window ( _blank) and the other extension opens in the same window ( _self) .
