Asset Folder when Published - Resolved

Post by bjlolmaugh »

I am just starting to use Version 20 and it's like trying to learn this software all over again. (was previously Ver. 11).

When I publish my website, a separate folder is published with all my images, outside of my website folder.
I am not referring to the images folder within my Website folder .... that one is part of the website project.
The folder outside my website folder is an extra, I guess a back up, image folder with the folder name the same as my Project name.
How to I prevent this extra image folder from being produced?

What did you set for home directory in the FTP settings dialog?

I don't publish directly to the server. I publish to my computer.

Yes, when you publish your project, WB creates an image folder where it puts all your images. The html files along with this image folder are what you need to upload to the server for it to work and your images to show. This folder is needed.

The program creates a 2nd images folder outside of my Website folder. My website folder contains all the HTML/PHP files plus an image folder.
In addition to that, there is another folder created that also contains all my images.

I figured it out. I unchecked the box to Automatically manage images and other files.
