[Solved] (Re) activation of WWB20

Post by SamT »

I recently replaced my Windows OS drive with a new NVME SSD after cloning the old drive. All seemed fine except I noticed .wbs files were no longer associated with WWB20. Using Settings>Apps> failed to restore association. I repaired Windows via download to "Windows 11 24H2 (repair download)" and this re-enabled file association for .wbs files.

On loading up my previously activated WWB20, it went into Trial Version but failed to display the activation window to re-enter my valid serial number. I note my Windows Office suite also lost its activation key. On downloading the latest WWB 20.0.6 this does not resolve the issue.

With WWB20 open, I only get the 'Purchase..' menu icon on the ribbon menu. I am unable to get to the initial activation window to enter a valid serial number.

I uninstalled WWB20 and re-installled. No change. Still unable to get to the activation window.

Would appreciate any assistance.

You can do that yourself by adding [SOLVED] to the beginning of the title of the opening post in the thread.
