When I publish the site to a local XAMPP folder the task completes, but WB freeze. I have to shut it down through the task manager.
No errors of any kind.
Any ideas ?

Can you please say what version of WWB are you using either the 32bit or 64bit. If your project is large then the software may run out of memory causing it to freeze. If you are trying to publish large files such as multiple fonts/pdfs then I would suggest you do these separately after you have published all other files ie the html/images etc as these are generally smaller and should have no loading memory issues.

There are no known issues with freezing, otherwise these issues would have already been fixed.

not sure what helped, as I have reinstalled all the extensions and so far no freezing anymore. I post here if this re-occurs.
