Re: browser ruler needed
Curious, what would be the use for a ruler or how would it be used? Are you wanting the size of the page/viewport when you preview?

Re: browser ruler needed
Correct, after I hit preview in WWB I want to be able to shrink and grow the width of my browser to see what it looks like on various devices.
Maybe I'm not doing this right and there's a better way?

Re: browser ruler needed
Most browsers already have built-in developer tools to view different sizes. For example, in Edge click the 3 dots at the top --> More Tools --> Developer Tools. At the top of that page there are dimensions you can manually change or click the drop down for some common devices. This is true for Chrome and Firefox too.

Re: browser ruler needed
Thanks bacon for that I installed it and it's pretty interesting, and I think once I get further along on my site I will use it, but not everything works correctly for example if you have a button on your website that brings up a PDF it brings it up in the PC browser window not in the small device that you supposedly are testing your site on...
And then there's the ads…
Crispy, I was able to get Firefox to bring up the ruler, and I will use that for now.
Thanks guys!

Re: browser ruler needed
pretty much yes. i use 2560 wide resolution monitors and when I resize the browser I'd like to know what the resolution that I am viewing is as I resize.crispy68 wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 12:37 am Curious, what would be the use for a ruler or how would it be used? Re: browser ruler needed
What I do when testing is have WWB open full screen. I then open the browser with the page I am testing, take it out of full screen and align it up to the zero mark on the WWB page. I can then horizontally expand and contract the browser window and see what happens at different break points or pixel points
