Preferences for UI fonts?

Post by PeterPanino »

Is it possible to improve the readability of the UI fonts? Please look at this screenshot:

Image

1. The panel title "Properties" is big and well readable.

2. The category title "General" and the property names and values are also well readable. (Although instead of the gray font color the font color should be black).

3. But the text in the "ClassMenuIndex" drop-down menu is MICROSCOPICALLY SMALL and difficult to read. Why has it to be so small? There is no reason for that.

The font sizes are not determined by the software. The software uses standard Windows components. So, the fonts are determined by the system.
But you can you may not have enabled 'High DPI' support.

Note: if you have suggestions then you can post these in the "Suggestions' section of this forum.

Hi Pablo, thank you for the information.

First, I want to congratulate you on WB: It is a great product!

My post was meant as a question. But I will post future suggestions in the "Suggestions" section.

I am amazed by the fact that Visual Studio does not allow font customization for its components. So I am happy to still be stuck with Delphi! :-)

I have now enabled Options/User Interface/Enable High DPI support and restarted the program. But the UI font sizes are still the same.

If you enable High DPI support then the UI should use your system fonts (as configured in Display Settings -> Scale and Layout).

The size of the captions is determined by the selected Color Scheme in Tools -> Options- >User Interface.
For example, if you select Visual Studio then the captions will be smaller.
