Hi all, just wanted to pick the brains of my fellow WB-users who also use Google Analytics on your projects:
Most recently, I was still going into the
Admin >> code-snippet on a Google Analytics account for a .com website,
and simply copy/pasting that into the Page HTML >> "Between head tags" area of each one of the pages for sites I do from within WB,
and it was working fine. But I don't know if it's this new "Google Analytics 4 property" / "App + Web property, but I don't know how to install it on my WB-sites anymore, apparently. Can anyone help? I'm just noticing that whenever I log-on to one of my websites, and then take a look at that websites "Realtime" , it's not picking up on my surfing around the website(s) like I always used to see. Just wondering if my fellow WB-users can share how y'all execute on this now?
*SOLVED* Any fellow WB-users' *New* Google Analytics problem?

Re: Any fellow WB-users' *New* Google Analytics problem?
I know I posted this during the weekend, but just wanted to *bump* it and see if anyone could offer me some insights as to how you are executing Google Analytics in you .WBS files, now?
I used to actually just put an HTML object on a page, and copy/paste the same little snippet from within Google Analytics. But then a couple of years back, I got some guidance here that it was best to go ahead and go into Page HTML >> Between <head> tags and insert it there.
But all of a sudden, doesn't seem like doing it that way is making traffic "Realtime" show up whenever I visit the pages of my site anymore?

Re: Any fellow WB-users' *New* Google Analytics problem?
Hi etcbbu... yes you do it as usual. Nowdays I always use the "Google Analytics..." option in the page context menu. Makes it easier to keep track on and separate from other snippets.
Remember to publish the "Site Map" and make the settings for the Site Map in WWB so you get the correct tracking...

@Bluesman
I appreciate your posting, but I'm afraid that solution doesn't help me, I don't think. When I used the "Google Analytics" button about which you're talking, in the top-ribbon, really that just is a shortcut-button that takes one to
Page HTML >> Between <head></head> tags
Which is the spot where I already have my Google Analytics snippet.
As far as sitemap.xml file on my web-host root, I *do* publish one of those, but I don't use WB to do it--I go to xml-sitemaps.com , enter the root URL address, download the .xml file locally, and then upload it to web-space.
I think there's something that has changed, and I'm just not aware, because like I said, this always worked before..

Re: *SOLVED* Any fellow WB-users' *New* Google Analytics problem?
Ok, I think I figured it out. Luckily, good news is, it doesn't look like, "the way they do tracking has changed". I think it has to do with security settings on browser. I think some browsers and then some stricter security-settings built into some browsers can slip you out of being detected by Google Analytics. I was able to "See" myself on two different sites with Google Analytics "Realtime" properties when I tried on a browser with less-than "Strict" settings.
