Hi I am trying out ver17 at the moment and I have a question re the SEO addition.
When I run SEO on my form page it informs me that my form fields need a label. My problem is that I have quite a complecated form setup and the layout is just how I need it. If I were to add a lable for every element on the form it would be unusable.
Am I missing somthing in the way that labels work? do they show on the final page? do they have to be next to the element that they relate to?
thanks,
SEO and Labels

Re: SEO and Labels
Did you read the tutorial?

The label can be placed anywhere on the page, but usually there are placed near the input element.

Re: SEO and Labels
Hi Pablo,
Yes I have read the tutorial and I understand what needs to be done but my issue is if I were to put a label for every object, box etc that is flagged then my form is going to be over crowded and not look right, or the way I intend it to look.
If I must have the label close to the form control then it looks like I might have to do a redesign of the form which will be a major pain

Re: SEO and Labels
just a thought but could I add a label and have it hidden? would that work or must it be visible for it to work?
Re: SEO and Labels
For the sofwtar it does not matter where you place the label. but it seems more logcal for the user to place it near the input field.
You can also hide it, although I am not sure if search engine and/or screen readers will find this valid.

Re: SEO and Labels
hmmm thats my though as well Pablo. I did hide a few and ran the seo and it didnt return the error but as you say the search engine might be a different story.
Looks like I will have to redesign the form then
Thanks for your help once again.
