OverlayMenu

Post by mike2021 »

Hello Pablo and the team.

I needed to find a web builder which was very similar to Serif Web builder. After searching and testing many web builders including the big ones like WordPress and Dreamweaver, I eventually found yours which catered for all of my needs to build a web site like mine. I have to say this is the best software to build web sites available. It is also a better program than Serif Web plus (which is now defunct). Thank you so much for creating this amazing web builder software. You have a very happy customer.

I have recently upgraded from 16 to 17. Everything transferred over as it should. I also purchased all of the add-ons.

The only problem that i have is with the Overlay Menu. The icon style will not centre itself.
You can see here that the icon sits correctly which is loaded with web builder 16
https://thesewingguru.com/
You can see here that the icon sits incorrectly which is loaded with web builder 17

I hope that you can help me with this small problem.
Many thanks and kind regards.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project so I can see all your settings.

Note: I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Please see this FAQ for further details:

Thanks again and regards.

Hi Pablo.

I have created 2 pages with the OverlayMenu2 which seems to be displaying correctly now. Maybe the updates of the software have rectified it.

You can see the page created with 16 here: https://thesewingguru.com/test16.html
You can see the page created with 17 here: https://thesewingguru.com/test17.html

I have also started to you use the "Full Screen Menu" which is a purchased extension. This Menu works really well.

Thanks for your time and thanks for the fantastic software that you have created here.

Regards.

Hello Pablo.

I have uploaded the Overlaymenu2 as requested.

The first link with just the menu is loaded with web builder 16. This menu is displaying correct.
The second link with the same menu file is loaded with web builder 17. This menu is not displaying correctly.
With both links the menu starts to display at breakpoint 960px. This is because I have a different menu displaying from the default size before the first breakpoint (960px)
As you can see with web builder 17 the menu displays all black with no lines. The breakpoint at 480px will display only 2 of the lines but at the bottom of black menu box.
Please can you have a look at see what settings I need to alter within web builder 17 so that the menu display perfectly as it does in web builder 16.

Link uploaded with web builder 16: https://thesewingguru.com/test16.html
Link uploaded with web builder 17: https://thesewingguru.com/test17.html

Many thanks Pablo and regards.

@mike2021 this is not what has been asked!. When it is asked to provide a "Demo" is does not mean a url or a link, it is a "Basic" copy of the project meaning the .wbs file itself. This is required to look at all settings you applied to the menu(s) in the software as it not possible to see this by viewing the raw HTML of the page. So can you please provide a "Basic Demo" of the .wbs or in this instance one for WWB16 and WWB17

Many thanks and regards.

In looking at the 2, it appears that in WB16 the following CSS line is added:

Code: Select all

#OverlayMenu2 .line:first-child{margin-top:50px;}
Which sets the positioning from the top for the 3 bars.

In WB17, this line is missing which is why the bars don't appear in the correct spot.

Only Pablo can look into this and fix it.
