If you look here http://wardle.penninescouts.org.uk/join.html there's a menu at the side which, when you hover the mouse over it, changes colour and expands a bit.

How would I do this in WWB (the web side was created with WebPlus

There is no standard solution for this. This will require a custom script.
Or if you want to keep it simple, then you can use rollover images.

Thanks - I'm not yet into custom scripts and I haven't played with rollover images yet. Something to try.

I would place them on a page and set it to (Do not publish this page), then on your main page use the option "Embedded page".

However if you need a currect indicator for each page, the you need to make several pages with the same objects but different names
