Web - changed name

Post by Mal »

Hello, long-time user now seem to be stuck.
Had an older version10 of web builder on Windows 7 using a separate FTP program.
Upgraded to latest WYSIWYG 17 on Windows 11 computer.
Copied my complete WYSIWYG folder across, things look normal, and am now using the built in FTP.
After following my hosts specs for publishing it 'makes out' it is publishing, but obviously isn't, although it publishes to Local Disk after i make any changes in web builder.
I notice there has been a name change to my web, it always used to be [web name] top of the tree in Site Manager, now it is [webname].wbs
How do I get it back to just my [webname] please?
Also I notice the following in 17's Web Builder:
<meta name="generator" content="WYSIWYG Web Builder 10 - http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com">
Should this have updated to WB17?
Thank you.

Please see the following url reading from:
The first item in the Site Structure tree is the filename of the website

<meta name="generator" content="WYSIWYG Web Builder 10 - http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com">
After opening in the WB17 did you save your project and publish locally before uploading to your host again?

The name on top of thew Site Manager is the file name, so if you rename the project file then this will change.

You can update the 'generator' name in the Page Properties.

Also, you do not need a separate FTP program, you can publish directly from the software.
