Layout Grid Image Only Background Style

Is there an option to edit/label an images description and title when used as the background style of a layout grid?

A background image cannot have an alt description. For the most part, background images are for aesthetic value and not visual content of the document itself. You shouldn't use background images for things with meaningful semantic value.

That's a shame. If background images alt tags could be edited it would make them more useful within the layout grid.

As it stands I have to alter my current design.... if only I knew before I started....oh well.

Unfortunately, it's not a matter of if WB could let you edit them it just doesn't exist in CSS. There is no such thing as alt tags on background images. If there was, WB would have this as an option.

Ahhh...didn't realise that. I'm guessing background images are overlooked regarding SEO and not containing any descriptive alt tags then?

No, there are not suppose to included for SEO. Backgrounds are for decoration only.
