Remove an old pdf file from internet

Post by Tor »

I try to manage a HAM club website, and I do not know what I realy do  . In 2019 we had a class for new people to HAM, an a site in pdf is impossible to get away from the net. In Google it is named LA2Z.no/info_kurs_ov5 pdf.
So please give me a way to kill that side. Our website is called www.la2z.no We live in a small town in the south of Norway called Horten. By the way to day it´s snowing like hell so I try to find a excuse for not to go outside. And I think this is good enough for my wife :D

First, you need to remove it from your site. If the file is still out there, it can be found (which I did).

If there is a page/line to a file that no longer exists but still in the search engines, then you need to log into your host and set up a 301 redirect so that if that link is clicked it will redirect to whatever page you want. If there is no specific page, then simply redirect to your home page. Eventually the search engines will remove this link.

If you have a Google webmaster account, you can also go in there and remove it there and update your sitemap (assuming you have one) having that link removed.
